Frosty Man and the BMX Kid........

This is an interesting short film that was made for a competition run by Tourism New Zealand.
Homework for Kakapo for Week 8 is to answer one of the three questions below in the 'comments' section. Each answer should start off with the number of the question and the words "I think...". Share your opinion.

1. Why would Tourism New Zealand run a short film competition?
2. Why does the old man refer to the place as "his Eden"?
3. What would you make a short film about if you were entering this competition?

This is the extended and enhanced version of FROSTY MAN AND THE BMX KID which was written and directed by Tim McLachlan – one of the five finalists in the international YOUR BIG BREAK film-making competition run by Tourism New Zealand in conjunction with Barrie Osborne (The Matrix, The Lord of the Rings) and Peter Jackson (The Lord of the Rings, King Kong).

    thats real cool that movie should have won!!

    I think that the old man is refering it as his eden because he is God and it is peaceful like it was at the begining

    I think tourisim New Zealand would run a short film competition because it shows visually, the true beauty of New Zealand and it helps them find new ways to talk about New Zealand through the eyes of New Zealanders.

    I think the answer to why the man referred to New Zealand as 'his eden' is that he was using the story of the garden of Eden from the bible. It is like a paradise and he believes New Zealand is his very own paradise, meaning it is near perfect.

    I think that Tourism New Zealand would run a short film competition so the best film could be shown around the world so that people from overseas could see the true beauty of the Land of the Long White Cloud.Tourism New Zealand's yearly profit can increase by a substantial amount!Good job NZ!!

    I think tourism NZ should compete in the short clip competition because it shows that NZ is a beautiful country to live in and to relax.

    I think New Zealand Tourism would run a short film competition so that New Zealanders could show off there movie making skills,they would run a competition so that people can see our country and maybe one day visit!!!!!!!!!!! =o

    I think that Tourism New Zealand started this short film competition so that people worldwide can see what kind of place New Zealand really is. Other countries can also start up their own competition. Even a worldwide competition.

    i think that the old man is referred the place as his Eden because he used the refernce from the bible and during the short film the old man said to the boy that his name was god .He also thinks that New Zealand is a beautiful and calm place and better then where he came from

    my opinion is that frosty man calls our beautiful
    cuntry nz his eden because we are a green and also very cultural WE are Aotearoa the land of the long white cloud and are fulled with beauty as his eden once was.
